Glow Boy in Love: Cosmic Pie & Unspoken Words
In a neon-lit diner floating in glitch space, Georgie Lugh and Bad Bella share a cosmic slice of pie, the weight of unspoken choices lingering between them. Hesitation, loyalty, and a bite of something bittersweet—sometimes, the biggest decisions aren’t about escape but about staying. A surreal, heartfelt moment unfolds over flickering lights, swirling galaxies of whipped cream, and the quiet understanding that, for now, pie is enough.
This story is just a small part of the tale. New episodes stream on Mondays.
A Diner in the Middle of Nowhere
The neon glow of the diner buzzed against the dark edges of glitch space, a beacon of strange comfort amid the chaos. It shouldn’t have existed here, not in the in-between, but then again, glitch space never played by the rules. The sign above the door flickered between Cosmic Bites and 404 Error, as if unsure of its own name.
Bella pushed the door open, the little bell above it letting out a garbled, static-laced chime. The place smelled of burnt sugar and something faintly metallic, but the scent of warm pie cut through the distortion like an anchor to reality. Georgie followed her inside, his soft glow dimming slightly in the hazy lighting.
Pie Over Exits
They slid into a cracked vinyl booth, Bella curling her tail around herself as she scanned the menu, even though she already knew what she wanted.
“Pie. With extra whipped cream.”
Georgie didn’t need to look either.
“Same.”
A floating waitress, composed of jittering pixels and half-formed code, hovered over to them.
“Two cosmic slices, extra void cream?” Her voice echoed, as if coming from a thousand miles away.
Bella just flicked her ear in confirmation, and the waitress glitched away. Silence settled between them, thick and humming with unspoken words.
Bella tapped her claws against the table. “You know, I was never gonna take the exit. Even if you did.”
Georgie studied her, his expression steady.
“I know.”
She huffed, her ears flattening slightly.
“Then why did you hesitate?”
Georgie exhaled slowly, searching for the right words.
“Because I knew once I stayed, I’d never leave. And that’s not something you decide lightly.”
Bella stared at him for a moment, then let out a low chuckle.
“You’re so dramatic, Glow Boy.”
Before he could respond, the waitress reappeared, setting down two plates with glowing slices of pie, the whipped cream swirling like miniature galaxies. Bella picked up her fork, twirled it in her paw, and then dug in.
For a moment, the weight between them lifted, replaced by the simple act of sharing pie in a place that shouldn’t exist, in a moment neither of them fully understood. And maybe, just maybe, that was enough.
Pie Over Exits
The first bite sent a ripple through Georgie’s senses, a strange warmth blooming from his core outward. It was like tasting the memory of a sunrise, a sensation so distant yet so familiar. Bella’s ear flicked, but she didn’t say anything as she took another bite, licking a stray dollop of whipped cream from the side of her mouth.
Georgie found himself smiling. Not the quiet, knowing smile he usually wore—but something softer, something closer to relief.
Bella noticed.
“What?”
“Nothing,” Georgie said, shaking his head. “It’s just nice. That’s all.”
Bella narrowed her eyes but didn’t push further. Instead, she drummed her claws against the side of her plate.
“You ever think about how weird this place is? Like, why is there a diner floating in glitch space? Who even runs this place?”
Georgie glanced toward the counter, where the pixelated waitress floated idly, occasionally glitching in and out of existence. The menu board behind her flickered, displaying different food items in an ever-changing, nonsensical loop. Nebula Pancakes became 404 Omelet Not Found before switching to a simple “???.”
“I don’t think it’s supposed to make sense,” Georgie said.
“Maybe that’s the point.”
Bella snorted.
“Great. A philosophical diner. Just what I needed.”
She stabbed another bite of pie and chewed thoughtfully, her tail twitching against the booth. The flickering neon light caught the edge of her fur, turning it briefly into a shifting spectrum of color before settling back into deep space and stormy teal.
After a while, she spoke again, more quietly this time.
“Hey, Glow Boy.”
Georgie looked up.
“Yeah?”
Bella hesitated, then, with a sigh, slid her plate toward him.
“You can have the last bite.”
Georgie blinked, surprised. Bella did not share food. Not unless she was feeling something. Something big.
He took the fork and scooped up the last bit of pie, the whipped cream melting slightly under the warmth of his glow. As he ate it, the flavor settled over him like a memory—bittersweet, complex, and impossible to pin down.
They sat in comfortable silence for a while after that, watching the neon lights flicker, the chaos of glitch space swirling just beyond the diner’s windows. Neither of them spoke of what had been lost, nor what had been gained. Not yet.
But for now, they had pie. And for now, that was enough.
